Petit Jean State Park Hugging the bluff of Cedar Creek Canyon is Petit Jean's 24-room Mather Lodge. A 95-foot waterfall cascades below and upstream, a rock dam forms Lake Bailey. Park campsites are situated near Lake Bailey and in secluded woodlands. Special features of the park include: picnic areas, playgrounds, pavilions, a recreation hall, launch ramp, pool and tennis courts. Petit Jean's hiking trails are unequaled, taking hikers from meadows to mountainsides. Directions: Take Exit #108 off I-40 at Morrilton and travel nine miles south on Arkansas 9, then go 12 miles west on Arkansas 154; or from Dardanelle, travel seven miles south on Arkansas 7, then go 16 miles east on Arkansas 154 to the park. |

Mount Nebo State Park Encircled by 14 miles of trails, Mount Nebo offers a spectacular view 1,350 feet above the Arkansas River Valley. The park includes 35 campsites and 15 fully-equipped cabins with kitchens. Also featured are a swimming pool, tennis courts, picnic areas, playgrounds, extra-large enclosed and standard open pavilions and a ball field. Many of the park's bridges, trails, rustic-style cabins and pavilions are constructed from logs and stones. Directions: The park is seven miles west of Dardanelle on Arkansas 155. |

Queen Wilhelmina State Park Located in the Ouachita mountains, Queen Wilhelmina State Park rests atop Arkansas' second highest peak. A modern lodge and 40 campsites offer a breathtaking view along the Talimena Scenic Drive. The park also features picnic areas, trails, a miniature scenic railroad, animal park, miniature golf course, laundry and store. Directions: The park is 13 miles west of Mena on Arkansas 88. |
